At Weights Biases, our mission is to build the best tools for AI developers. We founded our company on the insight that while there were excellent tools for developers to build better code, there were no similarly great tools to help ML practitioners build better models. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the business’s needs. This role will analyze and benchmark salary data, develop salary structures, and manage compensation planning cycles. The Compensation Program Manager will collaborate with stakeholders and leaders across the organization to provide compensation recommendations, ensure compliance and equity, and enhance the company’s overall compensation program.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure our compensation program is internally equitable, externally competitive, and responsive to business needs by assessing alignment with internal and external total compensation data.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive salary ranges, including geographic differentials, base salary and variable compensation structures.
  • Assist with equity administration and planning.
  • Serve as internal compensation subject matter expert, partnering with stakeholders to provide proactive compensation analysis and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain analytics and dashboards to visualize compensation trends and insights.
  • Facilitate mid-year and year-end compensation planning and review cycles.
  • Provide guidance on compensation changes related to promotions, transfers, merit increases or market adjustments.
  • nsure compliance with regulatory requirements and advise management on state and federal employment regulations and total rewards policies.
  • Own, maintain and enhance our compensation platform, Assemble.
  • Lead the annual compensation survey submission process and maintain job codes in HR systems

Requirements

  • 5-7 years experience analyzing compensation data, benchmarking roles, conducting trend analysis and managing compensation cycles.
  • Proven experience scaling compensation programs at mid-stage, high growth tech companies.
  • In-depth understanding of international compensation and best practices, particularly in Canada, Germany, UK, India and Japan
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience managing benefit administration for employees.
  • Ability to research employee benefits in similar industries and recommend changes or updates to existing benefits or policies based on findings.
  • Experience working with insurance brokers and investment planners to create competitive, cost-effective benefits packages, including facilitating implementation and enrollment for insurance and retirement plans.
