About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Content Writer who will support the Marketing & Communications department’s role in creating successful sales presentations, pitches and proposals to drive growth across both new and existing business opportunities. This role will partner with Customer Success and Sales. Responsibilities include: collaborating across internal and market-facing teams, creation and management of various content that communicates our solutions and drives go-to-market strategies.
Our ideal teammate is a creative storyteller and excellent writer, able to transform complex needs and solutions into simple messages. They will play a crucial role in crafting compelling white papers and other written materials for Federal government and healthcare opportunities. They will have a strong understanding of design to enable more eye-pleasing sales pitches and proposals, while also having a passion for collaboration, project management, and go-to-market initiatives. You will have proven experience working with customers regularly and continuously.
What you'll do:
- Interact with sales, sales engineering, customer success and executives to craft winning stories, presentations and proposal response documents across government and healthcare opportunities
- Act as a facilitator and expert advisor in bid strategy, decision, and kickoff meetings - helping to drive agreement on overall UU positioning
- Work across the structured proposal process with support and oversight from Unite Us project management.
- Effectively communicate complex ideas and solutions.
- Carry themes and strategy through a variety of customer facing content including but not limited to, proactive proposals, presentations, and quarterly business reviews
- Proactively follow up with internal team members and support to ensure any timelines are met
- Work closely with various contributors across departments to prepare proposals/pitches, including analyzing incoming requests, interviewing and information gathering, writing and revising drafts, and obtaining appropriate approvals. (some of this will be handled by PM I assume)
- Work with Product Marketing to create and maintain updated and current content libraries with quarterly review and updates.
- Report back to the Sr. Leadership team weekly on project status, common win themes and areas for improvement

- Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, communications, or customer experience, or a related role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred (or related business experience)
- Experience in grant writing, healthcare and/or medicaid experience a plus
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Proficient in data analysis
- Exceptional writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, define priorities, and drive initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable multi-tasking.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position is remote, U.S.-based only
- The target pay range for this role is: $80,000-$95,000. This salary range represents our national target range for this role. Some geographic areas may have higher target ranges.
- This position may require 30% travel
- All team members will be required to pass a background check which includes criminal, employment, and education verification
