About your new role:

The Senior Contracts Manager will be at the forefront of shaping our success by managing the review, drafting, and negotiation of customer and vendor contracts. You'll oversee the entire contractual process, ensuring everything aligns with our high standards for legal, financial, and operational excellence. You will have the opportunity to drive the improvement of contract-related workflows within our software platform while collaborating with leadership and engineering to optimize processes. As a trusted advisor to internal teams on contract terms, you’ll also play a key role in supporting broader legal functions like governance, compliance, and risk management—ultimately helping us stay ahead in a competitive industry. This is a 100% Remote, Full-Time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the review, drafting, and negotiation of customer and vendor contracts.
  • Collaborate with and support outside counsel on legal matters, particularly concerning contract review and negotiation.
  • Oversee the contractual process, from initiation to execution, ensuring all contracts meet legal, financial, and operational requirements.
  • Audit, organization and summarization of new and existing contracts and key terms.
  • Implement and manage contract workflows within our software platform.
  • Ensure the company mitigates contractual risk by identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate legal strategies.
  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive system for managing contracts and ensuring compliance with deadlines, obligations, and renewals.
  • Collaborate with leadership and software engineering to improve contract management within our software platform.
  • Support broader corporate legal functions, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Advise internal teams on contract terms and general legal issues.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry regulations, legal developments, and best practices to ensure the company’s compliance.
  • Assist with other general corporate legal matters as needed, such as employment law, corporate structuring, and IP protection.

What you'll need for success:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed attorney with 3-5 years of experience in contract management and general corporate legal work.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and corporate legal principles.
  • Experience working with or managing contract management software.
  • Expertise in telecom and software industry regulations and software structures
  • Proven background managing contracts related to software licensing, SaaS agreements, and telecommunications services
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and with external legal counsel.
  • Experience with corporate governance, risk management, or compliance work is a plus.

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.
