Job Description

The Company

Marigold helps brands foster customer relationships through the science and art of connection. Marigold Relationship Marketing is a suite of world-class martech solutions that help marketers create long term customer love and loyalty. Marigold’s products address the Messaging, Loyalty and Experiences marketing offerings, to a customer base that is categorized in three segments: Enterprise, Professional and Commercial. Marigold provides the most comprehensive set of use cases for Marketers at any level. Headquartered in Nashville, TN, Marigold has offices globally across the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, India, South America and Central America, as well as in Japan.

The Role

This role is with the Liveclicker team, which is a next-level personalization platform that works with other Marigold (or even third party) ESPs to make emails more engaging, interactive, and profitable. Liveclicker allows our customers to easily adjust their emails at any time – even after they reach the inbox – so their message is always relevant and impactful.

Liveclicker is looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join an existing product-engineering team maintaining and improving a high-scale, always-on, SaaS platform in the marketing-technology space.

The team consists of a number of full stack software engineers who currently maintain both the application, as well as infrastructure, but we are seeking a DevOps engineer who can act as a subject matter expert in the team on all things infrastructure and help upgrade the architecture of the platform in partnership with the software engineers.

The Team

The Liveclicker team is geographically diverse with staff distributed across NZ, AU, UY and UK, requiring someone with a good mind for async team work.

This role is NZ-wide remote, although we do also have an office in Wellington if you’re the type of person who likes getting out the house and chatting to some humans IRL from time to time.

Due to the timezones involved, this role provides the opportunity for you to enjoy flexible working hours. To accommodate your team's time zones, you'll attend two weekly team calls from 18:00-20:00 NZST. We appreciate your adaptability and, in return, offer the freedom to tailor your schedule. Starting late or taking a midday break? That's cool with us! We'll support you in balancing out the late starts, and support your ideal work-life balance! You can structure your day to maximize both productivity and personal enjoyment, joining us later in the day when it suits you best. Embrace flexibility and join us in achieving great things together.

What You'll Do

  • You will be part of the Liveclicker product engineering team responsible for the maintenance and development of the Liveclicker product.

  • As the DevOps subject matter expert in the team, you will be responsible for helping set the team infrastructure direction and roadmap, provide guidance on best practices and ensure the platform is stable, secure and operating on budget.

  • Be a natural with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.

  • Be hands-on with a range of technologies including Linux, AWS, Lambda, ECS and supporting applications in NodeJS and PHP.

  • Comfortable working with PostgreSQL databases.

  • Be part of the oncall team rotation along with the other team members.

About You

  • You’re someone who loves technology and cares deeply about the products you build and the customers who use them.

  • You’ll be a natural around Linux and AWS environments and have a good understanding of cloud architecture and scale engineering.

  • You have 5+ years experience building quality, production-grade systems, at least 2 years with AWS, and a background in either software or infrastructure engineering.
