About the role:
Swirlds Labs DevOps team is looking for an engineer to support operations of the consensus nodes in the Hedera testnet, previewnet, and preproduction environments. As a web3 product, these present unique operational challenges to availability, scalability, and change management in a computationally diverse environment.
You may find yourself doing all of the following:
- We are looking for a talented operations engineer to build automation to not only reduce toil work, improve configuration management processes, and improve infrastructure as code, but also liaise with the operations of the members of the Hedera Governing Council
- In this role, you will largely be building such infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) via Terraform and automating preproduction and release workflows via Ansible and Jenkins, as well as supporting 24/7 operational needs, including on-call incident response in support of the Hedera network
Qualification Requirements:
- B.S in computer science or similar
- At least Five years of DevOps or software development experience
- At least three years of experience in running AWS / GCP / Azure cloud workloads
- At least three years of experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible
- Deep familiarity with operating and troubleshooting issues in a Linux environment
- Deep familiarity with git
- Deep familiarity with DevOps and software development lifecycle best practices
- Familiarity with Jenkins Pipelines
- Good written communication skills
- Comfortable and capable of productively working in a fully remote, no-office environment with a fully remote team on the same continent
