Location: Warsaw (Poland), Rome (Italy) or Milan (Italy) or remotely in Poland or Italy.
We are looking for a Legal Counsel (12-15 month fixed contract as maternity cover until mid-October 2025) to be part of the international legal department of FREENOW, with responsibility for our business in Poland and/or Italy. You will work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, international and dynamic company and take care of all legal questions related to our super mobility app!
YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:
- Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts including sponsorships, services agreements, partnerships and terms and conditions applicable to the business, among others.
- Providing legal advice and guidance to key internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters.
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, including e-commerce, online platform and transportation laws.
- Advising on legal and commercial aspects of marketing campaigns, competitions and content initiatives.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to assess the impact of new laws and regulations on the company’s operations.
- Handling all IP matters of the company, including licensing agreements and trademark management.
- Implementing automated solutions and workflows to simplify and expedite the handling of legal requests.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- You are qualified to practise law in Poland and/or Italy. Please indicate your bar admission(s) in the application form.
- 3+ years full-time post-qualification experience (PQE; required). A mix of law firm and in-house experience is strongly preferred.
- You possess exceptional skills in team management and have experience in providing guidance and communicating effectively to key stakeholders at all levels.
- You have the capacity to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and are able to maintain composure and effectively handle multiple tasks while under pressure. Responding swiftly, thinking quickly, and making prompt decisions in a rapidly evolving and dynamic setting.
- You possess a natural curiosity and a strong desire for continuous learning. You are also willing to dive into any task at hand and enthusiastically take on new challenges.
- You are demonstrably fluent and have worked in English as well as Italian and/or Polish (fluency in German or French is a plus)
