About the role team

The Corporate Marketing team is responsible for developing, branding and communicating the Amplitude story across earned, owned, shared and internal channels around the world. The group oversees all our PR, communications, AR, social, brand, creative, content marketing, and corporate event activities.

As part of that group, the Senior Manager, Analyst Relations will play a crucial role in cultivating and strengthening relationships with industry analysts, positioning Amplitude as a global leader in digital analytics. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing Communications, this role will spearhead the strategic framework for engaging relevant industry analysts and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance Amplitude's market positioning and thought leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and execute the comprehensive analyst relations program, aligned with Amplitude's corporate goals, marketing initiatives, and product strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, GTM, executive leadership, product management, and sales, to deliver compelling information and insights to analysts, ensuring positive coverage in ranking reports and market research.
  • Establish proactive communication channels and engagement strategies to educate industry analysts about Amplitude's product roadmap, market positioning, and competitive differentiation.
  • Work closely with the PR Communications team to ensure a consistent and compelling narrative across the press analyst communities.
  • Organize analyst briefing sessions, tours, webinars, and events to deepen relationships with key analysts and cultivate a network within high-priority analyst firms.
  • In partnership with PMM, extract actionable competitive intelligence from analyst interactions to inform product development, shape marketing strategies, and drive go-to-market initiatives.
  • Partner with sales to leverage analyst relationships for business development opportunities and provide support during deal negotiations.
  • Coordinate Amplitude's participation in analyst-led events and industry conferences to maximize exposure and thought leadership.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, peer performance, and market opinions to provide insights guiding Amplitude's positioning and strategic direction.
  • Share analyst insights and research findings with product management and marketing teams to shape product strategies and go-to-market plans.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of analyst relations activities and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Manage AR agencies and contractors as needed to deliver on our objectives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in analyst relations at late-stage startups or public technology companies, preferably in B2B SaaS.
  • Proven success building and maintaining relationships with industry analysts and analyst firms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across cross-functional teams and engagement with executives in sensitive situations.
  • Experience driving and overseeing processes to secure rankings in reports such as Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, and IDC MarketScapes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Action-oriented mindset with a track record of driving measurable outcomes in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making processes and the ability to leverage insights to drive strategic initiatives.

This role is eligible for equity, benefits and other forms of compensation.

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Colorado. Colorado range: $200,000 - $300,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in New York City, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in New York City. New York City salary range: $222,000 - $333,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $222,000 - $333,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $200,000 - $300,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $200,000 - $300,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
