About The Role & Team

Join us at Amplitude for an exciting opportunity as a Senior Technical Project Manager, ePMO! As a key member of our team, you'll leverage your strong project risk management skills and deep understanding of project management methodologies to drive success.

As Senior Technical Project Manager, ePMO, you will:

  • Partner with Enterprise Program Management Office (ePMO) leadership and business partners to ensure alignment through regular reviews with partners/stakeholders across marketing, sales, customer success, finance and HR.
  • Lead all aspects of project planning and tracking, including working with team leads to define project scope and goals, identifying resources, and creating and running project schedules.
  • Define and implement metrics to measure and communicate success
  • Communicate project status and progress to key partners on a regular cadence
  • Proactively handle schedule and scope changes, and manage project schedules.
  • Actively manage project risks, using best practice Project Risk Management techniques and principles
  • Dive deep where needed to resolve blocking issues during project execution, testing, and launch.
  • Provide assistance, training and guidance on processes, tools and templates to the Corporate Engineering teams in order to allow projects to be delivered on time, to budget, and to desired quality.

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

  • 8-10 years of Technical Project Management experience with increasing responsibilities, demonstrating a deep understanding of Project Management processes, artifacts, and tools
  • 3+ years’ experience in leading, managing, or building and supporting PMO functions, preferably in a high-growth public technology company
  • Strong project risk management skills and the ability to strategically utilize standard project management concepts, methodologies, and practices
  • Proficiency in explaining complex systems and technical topics clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders through oral, written, and visual presentations
  • Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented mindset, and the ability to effectively manage multiple activities and projects concurrently
  • Autonomy in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of accountability, proven track record of driving results through both direct and indirect influence, and experience managing vendor-staffed projects
  • Experience as a Scrum Master for Agile teams, primarily Kanban and Scrum, and a solid understanding and application of Project Management principles
  • Ability to independently manage ongoing project operations, drive towards big-picture goals while maintaining attention to detail, and quickly identify and drive optimal solutions when presented with constraints
  • Demonstrated ability in risk and issues management, change management, project management, and a full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices for Agile and waterfall teams
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, relationship-building skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills, presenting a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders
  • Experience in business process mapping and redesign, working with quality management approaches, techniques, and principles, and exposure to or understanding of creating and managing technical product roadmaps.

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $155,000 - $233,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $140,000 - $210,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $140,000 - $210,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington only: unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans. Finally, a company sponsored 401(k) retirement plan."
