As Senior Manager, Psychological Injury Services, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Psychological Injury Program outpatient clinic to ensure efficient and effective service delivery including managing clinical workflows, staying on top of scheduling issues and resource allocation
- Monitor and maintain the assigned Workers Compensation program(s), protocols and service execution to ensure we meet service requirements
- Oversee key vendor relationships, including with psychologists, medical consultants, treatment providers and other required vendors to execute the WCB services programs
- Program development and design and recommend program delivery changes and improvements, based on outcomes, working with internal stakeholders to develop and implement any changes
- Monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery by using performance metrics and data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions
- Develop and refine clinical workflows, document and communicate procedures and provide comprehensive oversight to integrate clinical functions with administrative initiatives
- Lead and manage a diverse team of healthcare professionals, students and contract service providers including recruitment, coaching, training, performance evaluation
- Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes professional development and high performance
- Oversee the program’s financial performance, including service level agreements and operational expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality care
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, establishing and monitoring quality performance indicators for the services provided
- Ensure the clinic complies with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards, including maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Meet regularly with customers to provide program updates, share new developments and obtain feedback
- In collaboration with the Sales team, identify new business opportunities and participate in sales and marketing events where a clinical SME is required
- Build and maintain relationships with service providers, to enhance the program’s presence and impact in the community
- Provide in-direct services such as attending debrief meetings and case conferences as needed, in accordance with your scope of practice, ensuring indirect involvement in patient care and maintaining a hands-on approach to clinic operations
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health-related field
- Registration as a health professional is required (eg. Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, etc)
- Knowledge of clinical best practices related to the assessment and treatment of mental health and addiction
- Expertise in disability treatment and management principles, practices and processes; including sustainable return to work, accommodation and addressing workplace barriers
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
- Proven leadership skills including the ability to lead operational changes
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proven critical thinking and analytical ability
- Problem solver with the ability to adapt to change and unforeseen challenges
- Awareness and acknowledgement of the value of using measurement-based care when supporting patients/clients to help guide clinical decision making; experience an asset
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as experience working within an electronic case file environment
