We are looking for a talented SeniorMatte Painter with enthusiasm to join our great team on the exciting new project, Animated Feature TAD 4!!You will be responsible for creating photo realistic elements with high standard matte paintings.
First of all, you're probably interested in knowing that...we offer 100% remote work!
- Create backgrounds and paintings that match the concept and style using 3D and 2D tools and techniques to enrich the film´s environment.
- Manipulate light and texture to create realistic materials and form worlds that will exceed expectations.
- Integrate 2D matte paintings with 3D assets, ensuring a cohesive and believable final shot.
- High attention to details, preserving a unified sense of lighting, perspective, and color to maintain visual continuity and aesthetics within the film.
- Collaborate closely with the Lighting, VFX and Compositing teams to ensure a seamless integration of matte paintings into final shots.
- Have a good mix of creative and technical skills using Photoshop and Nuke to complete stunning 2.5D environments.
- Projection mapping and scene augmentation.
- Work in a manner that allows other compositing team members to pick up your work if necessary.
- Manage your workload. Advise your lead/head of dept of any obstacles which may affect delivery quality, timeliness or budget.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently in a fully remote environment, with that comes the supreme individual responsibility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and maintain your own initiative.
- Align with the style, sensibility of the project and the Director vision.
WE WILL MAKE THE PERFECT MATCH IF YOU HAVE:
- 5+ years of professional experience from either animation TV series or feature animation movie.
- Expert in Photoshop and Nuke.
- Work with rendered CG elements, still photography and digital paint to create believable environments that are seamlessly integrated into the film.
- Flexibility to match and adapt painting styles to the animated feature’s designs.
- Strong artistic skills in perspective, lighting, color and composition, with an eye to enhance the environments.
- Ability to take feedback constructively and implement it effectively, to reach the quality desired.
- Anticipation and quick reaction for problem solving.
- Demonstrate great autonomy and proactivity in your work.
- Great attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills.
