    About this role

About the Senior Member Marketing Manager role at Headspace

The Senior Member Marketing Manager is a builder's role. You'll sit at the intersection of our Health Plan, Employer, and Marketing teams: designing the strategies and partnerships that drive member enrollment, activation, and sustained engagement across health plan and employer clients. This role is designed to flex based on business needs, serving as a strategic marketing partner to our client success team and directly support clients to maximize impact.

This role sits at an inflection point for Headspace's go-to-market strategy. We are evolving how we show up for health plans and employer clients, and this person will help shape that evolution: not just execute against an existing playbook, but write a new one.

The ideal candidate has proven experience leveraging AI tools to streamline execution, including content creation, framework development, and data synthesis, allowing for a prioritized focus on high-level strategy, stakeholder relationships, and driving new initiatives to meet and exceed goals.

    What you will do:

    • Partner with client success to design and execute employer and member-facing enrollment and engagement strategies that support client goals such as utilization, retention, and value realization.
    • Consult with employer clients to understand workforce demographics, benefit structures, and communication channels, tailoring marketing approaches to maximize relevance and adoption.
    • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing plans, including open enrollment, launch campaigns, and ongoing engagement initiatives across digital and employer communication channels.
    • In partnership with the Lifecycle team, design and optimize member lifecycle programs from activation and onboarding through long-term engagement and re-engagement — tied to measurable utilization outcomes.
    • Translate health plan brand, compliance, and regulatory requirements into clear, compelling client-facing marketing assets and toolkits.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Health Plan Sales, Employer Success, Product Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure consistent messaging and seamless execution.
    • Analyze enrollment and engagement performance data to identify gaps, optimize campaigns, and recommend continuous improvements across accounts.
    • Act as a subject-matter expert on payer-sponsored benefit models, sharing insights to inform broader go-to-market strategy.
    • Manage multiple concurrent health plan-sponsored employer workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

    What you will bring:

    Required Skills:

    • High degree of comfort working in ambiguity and influencing without authority.
    • 7-10+ years of experience in B2B, B2B2C, or healthcare marketing, consulting, or client services, ideally within health plans, employer benefits, digital health, or HR tech.
    • Proven ability to design and execute enrollment and engagement campaigns that drive measurable outcomes across member populations.
    • Demonstrated experience serving as a strategic influencer to complex stakeholder groups, including external clients and internal partners.
    • Strong understanding of employer-sponsored benefits and the role health plans play in delivering and promoting value-added solutions.
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and align cross-functional teams.
    • Data-driven mindset, with experience using insights and performance metrics to inform recommendations and optimization.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, employer-ready messaging.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience working directly with health plans, brokers, consultants, and employer clients.
    • Familiarity with behavioral health, mental health, or wellbeing solutions.
    • Experience supporting open enrollment, large-scale benefits, and executing member outreach.
    • Background in marketing consulting or client-facing strategy roles.

All member records are protected according to our Privacy Policy. Further, while employees of Headspace (formerly Ginger) cannot access Headspace products/services, they will be offered benefits according to the company's benefit plan. To ensure we are adhering to best practice and ethical guidelines in the field of mental health, we take care to avoid dual relationships. A dual relationship occurs when a mental health care provider has a second, significantly different relationship with their client in addition to the traditional client-therapist relationship—including, for example, a managerial relationship.

As such, Headspace requests that individuals who have received coaching or clinical services at Headspace wait until their care with Headspace is complete before applying for a position. If someone with a Headspace account is hired for a position, please note their account will be deactivated and they will not be able to use Headspace services for the duration of their employment.

Further, if Headspace cannot find a role that fails to resolve an ethical issue associated with a dual relationship, Headspace may need to take steps to ensure ethical obligations are being adhered to, including a delayed start date or a potential leave of absence. Such steps would be taken to protect both the former member, as well as any relevant individuals from their care team, from impairment, risk of exploitation, or harm.
