Job Description

Introducing Masabi

// At Masabi, we’re driving the fare payment revolution, powering the journeys of millions all over the world. We build fare collection platforms that allow riders to seamlessly buy and present tickets for public transport either on their mobile phones, from a ticket machine, or even by tapping their bank card to travel.

Our Justride platform is used in over 250 locations globally, including some of the largest cities in the world. With our industry-first mobile ticketing SDK, we’ve partnered with large players in the transport space, including Uber, Moovit and Transit.

Your own journey is important to us too. Choosing a role here means joining a network of innovators from all walks of life; a group of passionate individuals who consistently deliver. Here, you’ll find the tools you need to build the career you want. Whether you’re taking the direct route or trying a new path, we’ll support you no matter what.

The Role:

// At Masabi, payment is a core component of our Justride platform. We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager with expertise in payment systems, gateways, processing, and security standards, ideally within transit.

The product areas you will be focusing on are our e-commerce and contactless EMV payments experience and also contributing to the broader vision of the rider's journey across our platform.

You’ll collaborate with engineering teams, UX designers, business stakeholders, and fellow Product Managers to build an integrated, best-in-class payment experience.

Location: This role is open to candidates based in the UK, in a hybrid or remote model.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the payments space, including market trends, transit payments, and commercial offerings.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, transport agencies, and partners to define problems and identify appropriate solutions using frameworks like PR FAQs and User Journeys.

  • Work closely with software engineers to test outcomes and ensure product success, balancing constraints and desired results.

  • Gain a broad understanding of the entire Justride platform while maintaining a deep focus on your product area.

  • Communicate product behavior, new features, and improvements to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Define and deliver the cEMV product roadmap, balancing competing priorities like new integrations, product features, and technology improvements.

  • Identify and foster partnerships across the payments ecosystem to enhance customer value and experience.

  • Create sales enablement materials to support Business Development and Account Management teams.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in payment technologies, including eCommerce and cEMV processing across complex value chains.

  • Strong knowledge of payment systems, PCI, and security standards.

  • Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships in the payment space and a passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.

  • Approachable, patient, and an excellent communicator; a collaborative team player.

  • Experience leading the delivery of complex and innovative solutions.

  • Adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Pragmatic problem solver with the ability to balance trade-offs and simplify processes, while keeping a long-term perspective.

// No day is the same at Masabi. If this sounds like the challenging, fun, and friendly environment you’re looking for to do your best work, we’d love to hear from you!
