As a Senior Professional Programmer Analyst at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. You will use your programming and analytical skills to drive the development of healthcare administration products used, and relied upon, by millions of patients. Your role in our mission

- Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately complex programs
- Analyze, design and write specs and reqs from which we develop and code programs
- Evaluate existing systems and programs; assist project the manager in assigning tasks and work closely with a team
- Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements and resolve issues that arise
- Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews
- Participate as a member of a development team and lead a small sub-team of developers as needed
- Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members
- Working with all phases of the SDLC, Software Development Life Cycle
- Working production support of a mission critical system
- Creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation, for example design and testing documents
- Working in a team environment, supporting a client
- Developing and executing regression testing strategies, and automated testing processes
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in applications development and batch programming with extensive experience making changes to moderately complex batch business applications using C
- 5 years of experience in SQL, preferably embedded in C or batch Java and using an Oracle Database
- 5 years of experience using Unix or Linux
- 3 years of experience shell scripting
- 2 years of experience supporting GitLab or GitHub as an administrator or Subject Matter Expert
- Other desired experience includes:
- Resolving code vulnerabilities identified by a SAST scanner such as Veracode
- Developing batch applications in Java using Java Enterprise Edition (JEE), XML or Web Services desired
- Visual Studio Code or other IDE
- Developing and executing regression testing strategies
- Developing automated testing processes is preferable

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
