The Opportunity

Are you the best of the best in Offensive Security? Strive to make a difference, then we want you! Adobe's Vulnerability Labs is hiring a Senior Offensive Security Engineer to join our Red Team and test the security resiliency of Adobe capabilities. In this position, we tackle some of Adobe's toughest tasks, finding and exploiting weaknesses, testing control effectiveness, and delivering information to our security community to help them build adversary resilient capabilities and stay ahead of adversaries.

What you'll Do

  • Research, design and build red team operations.
  • Conduct adversary emulation and evasive routines to stress test controls.
  • Map attack surface and prioritize exploitable opportunities.
  • Confident use of test tools and exploits to conduct your operations
  • Apply chaining of exploits to explore all phases of the kill chain.
  • Find and pressure test controls from different adversary vantage points.
  • Lead development of an arsenal of exploits for continuous automated exploit testing to reduce manual toil and boring repetition.
  • Keep up to date on the latest adversary trends, exploits, and threats.
  • Invite and mentor other team members to work on operations
  • Analyze your results and create presentations for the CSO staff
  • Collaborate with Adobe teams and guide security features in Adobe capabilities.
  • Publish blog articles and present talks at conferences.

What you need to succeed

  • 7+ years working in a Red Team or Bug Bounty program.
  • Your appetite for learning is unending.
  • You have a passion to win and be #1.
  • Excellent reconnaissance skills that surpass your peers.
  • Confidence to create and deliver against successful campaigns.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in using remote code exploits, code injection, security misconfigurations to gain access the hard way.
  • Legendary at using Burp, NMAP, and Kali to achieve your outcomes.
  • Able to achieve lateral movement post exploit phase.
  • CEH, OSCP, and/or OSCE, a plus.
  • Cloud and Kubernetes expertise, a plus.
  • Ability or desire to build your own tools or exploits, a plus.
  • Bug Bounty track record and ranking, a plus.
  • Submitted CVE's on the National Vulnerability Database (NVD), a plus.
  • You have well formed opinions supported by facts.
  • You can communicate and have excellent written skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $157,400 -- $284,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
