Job Description

As a Senior Sales Development Manager at Material Security, you'll be part of an early, fast-growing and highly experienced go-to-market team. You will report to the VP of Sales and build an SDR program and team that delivers high-quality, prospective customers to our sales organization while working closely with peers across the Marketing and Partnership functions. You’ll have a significant impact in shaping our go-to-market strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Define and operationalize an SDR program with clear and meaningful performance metrics, testing and optimization, and feedback processes for other GTM and product teams.

  • Develop strong relationships and trust with sales leadership, account executives and cross-functional partners.

  • Work cross-functionally across our go-to-market team to ensure the SDR program is well-aligned and maximally leveraged.

  • Recruit, onboard, coach and develop a team of SDRs that produce consistent and predictable results.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales development or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • A builder: You will be joining a strong team of marketers and sellers and will have plenty of support, but you need to be excited to build from the ground up. There is very little in place today, so we need someone who can effectively go from 0 to 1 and wants to grow the program as the company scales.

  • A creative mindset: Our product is innovative and meaningfully different and we want to build a go-to-market strategy that mirrors that. We aren’t looking for a simple inbound/outbound playbook. We’re looking for someone who likes to brainstorm, create new ideas, test and optimize, etc.

  • Results Oriented: This person will have a proven track record and an innate desire to over achieve and embody a bias to action. In a fast paced growth environment its critical to be a self starter who sets clear, measurable goals and holds themselves and their team accountable to successful results.

  • A team-leader: This role will recruit, hire, on/off-board, and promote people that are often early in their careers. You must have a passion for identifying and growing talent as a coach and mentor.

  • Strong Communicator: A successful, modern Sales Development program relies heavily on cross-functional relationships such as Demand Gen, Field Marketing and Channel/ISV Partnerships. This person must be able to effectively communicate to maximize the collective efforts of the entire organization.

  • Attitude & Ambition: The best candidates are smart, hard working, competitive, and not afraid to fail. They are team first but willing to take the lead with minimal guidance and supervision.
