The GLS Platform Readiness team is looking for an experienced individual passionate about open source and business critical production deployments to join us as a Senior Systems Administrator with an emphasis on scripting, automation and either OpenStack and/or OpenShift knowledge.
What you will do:
In this role, you will be responsible to create solutions and help with problem solving for reported issues in real time as a member of the L3 support team working across various shifts depending on business needs. You will work with other team members remotely deploying, maintaining and monitoring a large complex cluster environment hosted in data centers across multiple continents.
As a Senior Systems Administrator with an emphasis on automation you will analyze procedures and help to design and implement automation and automated solutions for the diverse technical challenges including deployment pipelines, automated test scenarios and systems and services monitoring.
The technologies used in the production environment include, but are not limited to OpenStack, OpenShift, Ceph, RHV, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Tower.
What you will bring:
Excitement and passion to learn about and master new technologies
At least 5+ years experience administering a Linux based production environment
Experience with scripting and automation (Ansible and/or Python)
Experience with either OpenStack or OpenShift in production environments
Ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment with a multicultural team distributed across multiple countries and time zones
Good communication skills in English, excellent collaboration skills and a good team player
The following is considered a plus:
Knowledge of and experience with Linux containers
Knowledge of and experience with Red Hat Satellite
Knowledge of and experience with Ceph
Knowledge of and experience with RHV
Knowledge of and experience with Ansible Tower
Knowledge of and experience with Zabbix
Knowledge of and experience with any programming language such as Bash, Python, Go, Ruby, JavaScript
Red Hat or Linux-specific certifications like Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
