Job Description

Clio is more than just a tech company–we are a global leader that is transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.

Summary:

Who You Are:

Our Engineering team is expanding rapidly, and we’re looking for a talented Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us on a one-year, fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension. If you're passionate about attracting top-tier talent and driven to create and execute innovative talent acquisition strategies for technical roles, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We’re not seeking a traditional recruiter; we’re looking for someone who values people and culture, thrives in a high-growth, high-energy environment, and is committed to living and promoting our values.

What Our Team Does:

Our Talent Acquisition team is a powerhouse of dedication, relentlessly focused on our mission to build not just teams, but exceptional, high-performing teams. We believe that the right talent can elevate our company to new heights. We pride ourselves on partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure a seamless, exceptional experience for candidates and Clions alike.

Location and Flexibility:

This role is open to remote employees within Canada (except Quebec). If you’re local to one of our Hubs (Calgary, Burnaby, or Toronto), you will be expected to work in the office once per week on one of our Anchor Days.

What You'll Work On:

  • Oversee a robust candidate pipeline and lead the full-cycle recruitment process, focusing on strategic and high-volume recruitment efforts in Canada.

  • Partner with business leaders to align on hiring strategies, meet quarterly hiring targets, and ensure a best-in-class candidate experience.

  • Proactively engage with candidates in order to build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for engineering roles.

  • Align candidates with Clio’s mission, values, and vision.

  • Own and nurture stakeholder relationships with our R&D teams, such as Product and Engineering, to ensure effective collaboration in recruitment efforts.

  • Explore and implement creative approaches to attract and engage both active and passive candidates.

  • Play a key role in enhancing our recruiting function by introducing innovative practices and processes, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Represent Clio with professionalism, integrity, and authenticity—hiring according to our values!

What You May Have:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in a high-growth, high-velocity environment with a focus on strategic and complex recruiting.

  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian tech community, especially in Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.

  • A track record of meeting hiring targets.

  • Proven ability to leverage data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and implement behavioural changes that optimize recruitment processes.

  • A consultative approach to recruitment: a strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset who tackles challenges throughout the recruiting process.

  • Proficiency in using diverse recruitment channels, including inbound, outbound, referrals, and events, to attract top talent and build diverse candidate pipelines.

  • Experience sourcing, nurturing, and hiring passive candidates.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Experience championing diversity and inclusion programs or initiatives.

  • Experience working at in-house tech or SaaS companies.

  • Familiarity with the Workday ATS.

What you will find here:

Compensation is one of the main components of Clio’s Total Rewards Program. We have developed a series of programs and processes to ensure we are creating fair and competitive pay practices that form the foundation of our human and high-performing culture.
