Job Description

Capgemini is currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team supporting a top ten insurance carrier.

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our client's software systems. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to design, deploy, and maintain robust and efficient cloud-based solutions. Your expertise in DevOps principles, automation, and monitoring tools will be essential in driving continuous improvement and optimization of our systems. By implementing best practices and leveraging cutting-edge technologies, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our insurance carrier client.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement highly available and scalable cloud-based architectures
  • Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring of systems and applications
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Participate in incident response and on-call rotations to maintain system uptime
  • Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in site reliability engineering or related role
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet
  • Experience with monitoring and log management tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices
  • Excellent scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Knowledge of networking and security principles in cloud environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide root cause analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
