Job Summary:

We are seeking an eCommerce Product Manager to spearhead the refinement of our eCommerce platform for dealers (sellers of parts from multiple manufacturers/OEMs). The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of eCommerce fundamentals, SEO, and content structuring to enhance discoverability, marketability, and user engagement. As an eCommerce Product Manager, you will play a critical role in molding the future of our eCommerce site, making it conducive for marketing and tailored to the specific desires of eCommerce site proprietors.

RB Global is a remote-first company. This role can be located anywhere in the United States. Remote-based employees will be expected to travel on occasion for meetings, strategy sessions, and team building events. Our offices in Beverly Hills, CA, are fully operational and accessible for anyone to use on a voluntary basis.

What You'll Do:

  • Spearhead the improvement of eCommerce websites that empower dealers to sell parts from multiple OEM suppliers, positioning the platform as the "Shopify" for parts in the heavy machinery industry.

  • Employ expertise in SEO and Google Analytics to ensure the eCommerce site is fully optimized for search engines, which includes the effective structuring of content and the application of meta tags, images, etc.

  • Oversee the integration and smooth operation of eCommerce systems, including inventory management, cart functionality, and financial systems, ensuring a seamless user experience.

  • Engage in active collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing and procurement teams, to incorporate features to enrich the eCommerce experience.

  • Drive the continuous enhancement of the eCommerce product to attract and retain customers.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align the eCommerce platform with the broader company objectives and customer expectations, adapting strategies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager within the eCommerce domain, with deep insight into what drives success for an online store from an owner's perspective.

  • Deep familiarity with eCommerce systems, including inventory management, shopping cart functionality, and financial system integrations.

  • Strong background in SEO, Google Analytics, and other essential tools for optimizing eCommerce sites for search engines and enhancing user experience.

  • Strong grasp of marketing fundamentals, capable of effectively liaising with marketing teams.

  • Knowledgeable about eCommerce best practices, including site structure, content optimization, and feature sets that improve customer attraction and retention.

  • Innovative and strategic thinker with the ability to integrate unconventional features into the eCommerce platform, thereby increasing its uniqueness and appeal.

  • Excellent collaborative and communication skills, with the competency to work effectively across various teams and adapt to feedback and evolving business needs.

  • Committed to staying informed about the latest eCommerce trends, technologies, and best practices to continually advance the platform.
