Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Onboarding Product Manager with a strong background in B2B product management. This role is crucial for developing and enhancing internal tools that facilitate the seamless onboarding of OEMs onto the SmartEquip network, enabling them to efficiently manage their extensive parts inventory and pricing. The Onboarding Product Manager will be at the forefront of transforming our current manual and email-based supplier integration process into a standardized, automated, and user-friendly system.

RB Global is a remote-first company. This role can be located anywhere in the United States. Remote-based employees will be expected to travel on occasion for meetings, strategy sessions, and team building events. Our offices in Beverly Hills, CA and Norwalk, CT are fully operational and accessible for anyone to use on a voluntary basis.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the development and refinement of internal onboarding tools designed to help OEMs efficiently join the SmartEquip network and manage their parts and pricing content.

  • Work closely with technical teams to automate and standardize the current manual processes involved in supplier onboarding, parts management, and pricing updates, ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with OEMs and internal teams to understand their specific needs and challenges, translating these into functional requirements for the onboarding platform.

  • Design customer-facing admin tools that are clear, understandable, and capable of handling various permutations and legacy systems, focusing on ease of use and efficiency.

  • Develop workflows and processes that enable site owners and suppliers to easily navigate the onboarding process, reducing manual work and communication overhead.

  • Interface with enterprise resource planning software such as SAP or Oracle to ensure seamless integration and order management.

  • Foster a culture of autonomy and self-service, empowering users to manage their onboarding process with minimal external assistance, supported by clear guidance and visible progress tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing or significantly contributing to the onboarding process of B2B products, particularly those involving complex inventory and pricing structures.

  • Familiarity with internal tools and systems used for asset management, with a focus on automating and improving B2B operations.

  • Experience interfacing with enterprise resource planning software like SAP or Oracle, with a solid understanding of order management and inventory systems.

  • Background in developing self-onboarding tools for B2B marketplace platforms, demonstrating an ability to streamline and enhance the onboarding experience in a marketplace environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to create simplified solutions for complex business processes, improving efficiency and user experience.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.

  • Autonomy, confidence, and the ability to thrive in a transitional space where processes are being rebuilt and redefined.
