A Software Developer is a professional who is charged with designing and coding software for businesses and consumers alike. They work closely with clients(internal/external) to determine what they need, then use programming languages like Java or C++ to create programs. They must have critical thinking skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain our Shopify store, ensuring it meets all business and technical requirements.
- Update and upgrade the Shopify theme to utilize new product capabilities and features.
- Integrate third-party applications and tools to enhance store functionality, including payment gateways, analytics tools, and marketing platforms.
- Manage and optimize Shopify apps and plugins to ensure smooth integration and performance.
- Implement and maintain integration for affiliate tracking programs, including ShareASale.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify platform and its integrations.
- Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to create and implement new features and improvements.
- Monitor website performance and implement optimizations to enhance user experience and conversion rates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with Shopify development, including Liquid template language.
- Proven experience with Shopify integrations, including third-party applications and APIs.
- Strong understanding of Shopify's admin system, including theme customization and app integration.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies.
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing platforms, particularly ShareASale, and experience integrating these systems with Shopify.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
