At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

As a full-stack engineer on the Site Marketing team, you will provide intuitive experiences for customers to find the right products for their business. Your work will result in a well-factored, reusable, and tested code base that lasts and adapts to changing needs. You'll use creativity that harnesses your software creation and collaboration abilities to build new cohesive and fluid product purchase experiences. You'll partner with many teams to run customer-benefitting experiments

What you'll get to do...

  • Write efficient, maintainable code primarily in JavaScript, validated with unit and integration tests.
  • Participate in planning, architecting, implementing, and maintaining our client and server code.
  • Review your teammates' code, help define high standards, and look for ways to improve the overall quality of our codebase.
  • Own outcomes, releasing high-quality code such that your team's DevOps on-call responsibilities remain light.
  • Contribute to Open Source projects related to the tech stack and domain of our products. Work fearlessly, try new things, and share your failures and successes with the team.

Your experience should include...

  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of core web technologies: JavaScript (ES2015+), CSS3, and HTML
  • Experience with React
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming, .NET, Java, etc.
  • 5+ years of professional Agile software development experience.
  • Understanding of git and git-based workflows.
  • Experience with DevOps and understanding what deployment means using systems like Jenkins, webpack, docker, AWS, OpenStack, Artifactory and/or Kubernetes.
  • Experience managing or contributing to open source is a plus. (Send us a link to your GitHub!)

You might also have...

  • Demonstrated love and advocacy of automated testing.
  • Experience with experimentation systems such as A/B or multivariate testing.
