The Software Development Program Manager will be responsible for working with the (FAA) Office of National Engagement & Regional Administration (ARA) to managing resources, staff, risks, issues, decisions, actions, and project changes to control time and cost.

***Must live within 60 miles of FAA Headquarters in Washington DC and be able to attend meetings as needed***

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide program management support for each program to perform the identified SOW tasks efficiently, accurately, on time, and in compliance with the requirements.
  • Manage resources, staff, risks, issues, decisions, actions, and project changes to control time and cost.
  • Prepare and maintain a Project Management Plan (PMP) for each program.
  • Provide a planned schedule to include all milestones and deliverables.
  • Provide Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) for each program based on the deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain a Quality Control Plan (QCP) for each program to provide requirements.
  • Provide Monthly Financial Reports (MFRs) for each program.
  • Meet monthly or quarterly with the Program Office and COR for a Program Management Review (PMR).
  • Provide a project schedule for each program that aligns with the PMP.
Requirements
  • Experience managing Software Development projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and at least 15 years of experience.
  • Must have a Project Management Professional (PMP), Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) or equivalent project or program management certification.
  • Experience with IT platforms such as JIRA, ServiceNow (SN), Automation Pro, Public Sector Digital Services, MS Teams integration (Service Desk Chat functionality), Mapping, navigation, surveillance, and Language / translating and/or communication software.
  • Must have experience following the Agile Software Development requirements.
