Software Development Program Manager - 100% Remote within the Providence footprint of states (WA, OR, CA, MT, NM, TX, AK)

The Software Development Program Manager will work with their engineering counterparts to define and design solutions and services that delight caregivers and add value to Providence.

  • Support software development projects that aim to implement and integrate network automation, orchestration, security, and cloud solutions for TEO Network Services. Projects also include integration of network telemetry/ observability and management of digital assets.
  • Coordinate software development projects, manage software development lifecycle, and ensure quality and alignment of software solutions with the published engineering objectives and standards.
  • Communicate the status, progress, and results of the software development projects to management, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Manage timelines and availability of development resources. Coordinate dependencies between development streams.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering. Or equivalent educ/experience
  • 3 years Related experience; 3-5 years preferred.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A certification in project management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional), is also beneficial.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in software development is preferred but not required, with at least 2-3 years of experience in project management. Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of software development processes and methodologies
  • Project Management Skills: ability to plan, track progress, manage risks, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Knowledge of project management tools, such as ADO, JIRA or Trello is preferred.
  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership skills. Should be able to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and executives, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to analyze complex situations, identify potential risks, and make sound decisions to address issues and keep the project on track.
  • Team Management: Experience in leading and managing teams is essential. Should be able to motivate team members, foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
