As the Backend Software Engineer, you will report to the Software Engineering Manager and continuously collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to solve the most critical technical problems.
You Will
Write clean, maintainable, secure code with an eye towards reusability, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with a team of engineers, architects, product managers, and designers to deliver elegant, resilient, and solid products.
Take ownership over your code and remove any ambiguity during implementation by collaborating with product, design and engineering team members.
Participate in design and code reviews.
Enjoy learning new processes, tools, and technologies.

Required Experience & Technical Skills
4+ years as a Backend Software Engineer with a passion and focus on backend software development.
Demonstrated track record of contributing to, releasing and maintaining production back end systems.
Demonstrated experience in working with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, through ORMs and raw SQL.
Ownership mindset over systems through proactive dashboard monitoring and improvement.
Experience with Node.js/Typescript is preferred but not required.
Data modeling experience for operational workloads, especially with an eye towards efficient query patterns.
Exposure to Microservices and Event Driven Architecture using AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.
A proponent of unit, integration, and performance testing.
