PolyAI builds enterprise voice assistants that carry on natural conversations with customers to solve their problems. Our enterprise clients deploy PolyAI voice assistants to cut down on wait times and free up live staff to focus on calls requiring empathy and judgment. As a result, our enterprise clients see improved customer satisfaction, employee retention and operational efficiency.

The internship:

As part of the project team, you will be developing real-world systems for our customers that take 1000s of calls every single day. You will work closely with PolyAI Product Solutions Managers, Software engineers and Dialogue Designers to build out and maintain highly specialized software that delights our clients and their customers. We work in an agile environment, with short release cycles.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You're working towards a BSc or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (ie. physics, engineering or mathematics)
  • You have experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Golang, JavaScript, Java or C/C++
  • You're proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • You have the right to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design
  • You have experience working with one or more cloud services: AWS, GCP, Azure
  • You're in you final year of the academic course
