You: A Solutions Engineer with pre-sales and delivery experience
The Role
Prolific are looking for a Solutions Engineer to deliver incredibly successful outcomes for our API-first customers, who are revolutionizing the way the world learns about people. You will work on a defined account list, alongside Account Managers and Customer Success Managers from the pre-sales phase, through successful delivery and then growth. What you'll be doing
- Partner with Prolific Account Managers, Customer Success Managers, Partnerships Managers understand potential and existing customers' technical needs and translate how our platform offerings could be a fit, advising on and designing solutions
- Technical advising project management throughout engagements with our customers and partners
- Help customers optimize their use of the Prolific platform and increase adoption of technical capabilities
- Drive adoption and expansion of key platform features by demoing and developing proof of concepts/pilots
- Build quality solutions to deliver program objectives. Design functional and technical requirements for projects with timelines and levels of effort in mind while creating templated approaches.
- Seamlessly integrate new product features into existing programs (typescript, javascript)
- Assist clients with executing or escalation for regular maintenance activities (e.g., handling outages, assisting with root cause analysis, troubleshooting technical questions and issues)
- Work cross-functionally within Prolific to prioritize and advocate for software feature enhancements on our customers’ behalf
- Develop and maintain expertise in feature functionality and practical application of all our product offerings
- Contribute to continuous improvement in the Sales and Solutions Engineering teams, continuously innovating in how we create quality in technical solutions. Proactively identify implementation process improvements, determine root causes and overcome roadblocks
- Understand competition and work through value selling approach
- Participate in RFI/RFP process and respond to technical assessments
- Occasional travel to meet our customers and partners
What you’ll bring
- Experience working in a technical, consulting, or client-facing role in the technology industry
- Ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer centricity and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with software and front-end development
- Hard-working self-starter capable of concurrently running multiple projects in a dynamic environment
- Comfort in working both autonomously and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
Even better if you have
- A generalist profile with coding experience
- Experience working in start-ups or early stage scale-ups and thrive in this environment
- Verification experience and understanding of segmentation principles
- Experience or a strong interest in API, AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics and/or CRM

Our Interview Process
Talent Call - You'll meet with one of our Talent team and have an exploratory call about the role requirements, life at Prolific, as well as your background and aspirations.
Hiring Manager Interview - You'll interview with two members of the team, one of which will be the hiring manager. You'll have the opportunity to ask about the company and the role, and we'll ask you questions about your experiences and goals.
Panel Interview - We'll hold a panel interview that evaluates skills required for the role. You'll meet with more of our team and may be asked to complete a presentation or task. You'll be compensated with a £50 voucher 💰 for completing the task because we know your time is valuable!
Final Interview - We will deep dive into your past experiences, goals, motivations, and skills all aligned to our Prolific Principles. You'll speak with two to three members of the team and - as always - have an opportunity to ask questions about the role and company.
