About the Sr Manager - Parcel GTM Position:

Stord is seeking a Senior Manager of Parcel Go-To-Market to lead all parcel transportation pricing, modeling and simulation for Customer RFPs, Carrier rate analyses, and revenue, cost, and margin analytics. This individual leads in the optimization of our customers’ supply chain through the creation of studies for parcel costs and service opportunities, while assisting stakeholders in making informed business decisions based on quantitative analyses.

The primary work involves leading a team of Analysts in the modeling of carrier and customer rates, executing network and parcel studies, and deep dives into cost and service opportunities to drive margin and to deliver recommendations for delivery speed improvements. You will build analytics in Domo and other tools, collaborate with Stord’s technology partners to develop insights, and create and present executive presentations of your results.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the main point of leadership contact with Sales on opportunities and RFPs with new customers
  • Identify key negotiating points for Sales and for Stord Parcel, leveraging Parcel acumen and industry knowledge to recommend pricing strategies with customers and carriers
  • Lead the Parcel analytics practice, partnering with Stord’s Data Science team to design and produce intuitive summaries and deep analytics into Stord’s cost and service performance
  • Direct pricing campaigns across the company, including General Rate Increases, Demand Surcharges, and bids for new and current parcel delivery services
  • Oversee Parcel Audit and Billing, including the management of Stord’s external partnerships and the development of internal programs for billing, accounting, and reporting of cost and margin
  • Manage analytical projects from start through completion, conducting intake interviews, assessment of data, solution design, analysis, and presentation of results
  • Maintain broad responsibilities in cost and service performance, identifying opportunities through analytical tools and observations, and self-directing to prioritize, investigate, build, and deliver solutions
  • Curate and communicate a queue of analysis responsibilities and direct the activities of the Parcel GTM team
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with carrier partners to ensure efficient flow of operations to maintain the customer experience
  • Demonstrate a desire and commitment for continuous improvement, maintain effective and timely communication between the Parcel/Transportation department and the rest of Supply Chain Management, and other various corporate departments to guarantee coordination of efforts.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, or Engineering
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in parcel analysis, including leadership in contract management and pricing
  • Experience Modeling parcel carriers, transportation, and Supply Chain networks
  • Experience leveraging databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform business decisions
  • Experience with a Business Intelligence Tools (Domo, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other Office 365 applications
  • Polished written and verbal communication

Bonus:

  • Experience/Coursework with machine learning, Mathematical Optimization
  • Experience with any cloud development platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Knowledge of Software Development paradigms and tools. (Agile, CI/CD, Documentation, Unit/Regression tests, Object Oriented Programming)
  • Programs: Fluent in SQL, and Python/R
