The Senior Order Manager is primarily responsible for orchestrating and executing order management and purchasing requirements needed to meet the demands of Red River’s Thor Programs supporting the US Navy. The Senior Order Manager understands the full requirements by the program and orchestrates accurate order placement, review, contractual compliance, logistics, and tracking to ensure smooth delivery of all goods and services. The position requires interface between sales, program / engineers / operations, supply chain, and finance. The Senior Order Manager provides a vital final link in the chain needed to deliver on Red River’s contractual commitments to the program and its customers. The Senior Order Manager is also expected to drive continuous improvement within the department and with the partners (internal and external).
Primary Position Tasks:
Fulfill all administrative functions for Red River GTS Purchase Orders. This includes such things as; order contract review, interface with sales team for quotes, requisitions, purchase order creation and placement, tracking orders through completion, preparing proof or order documentation to support client invoicing, and notifying appropriate parties of status and expectations for delivery and final close out and alignment into asset management process
Timely processing of orders with customers and vendors ensuring excellent communication with all applicable parties
Detailed communication with supply chain and the program on the status of open orders
Work closely with Finance to help ensure seamless accounts receivable and accounts payable activity
Build and maintain strong relationships with all our vendors and look for opportunities to improve our processes with key vendors along with supply chain
Partner with internal warehouse and logistics teams to manage aged inventory, coordinate documentation and shipments to customer
Provide documentation and/or upload documentation into internal & external portals
Look for opportunities to leverage and maximize Red River’s buying power
Ensure maintenance of internal documentation to adhere to company and governmental policies
Adhere to ISO 9001, and specifically, Supply Chain Manual, and Supply Chain Risk Management procedures. Adherence to the contracts and program policies and procedures
Provide excellent customer service while interacting and communicating with Red River’s internal partners
Seek out and drive opportunities to improve procurement chain processes and/or make them more efficient
Develop and provide analysis and reports to program leadership
Other business duties as assigned
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel
2 Year degree or relevant experience
5+ years in an order management role, project management, buyer/procurement, or similar function
Experience interacting with customers, key stakeholders, and similar in support of program success
Team player in interacting with multiple partner organizations and cross functional teams
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
4 Year degree preferred or relevant experience in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or similar
8+ years in an order management role, project management, buyer, or similar function
Experience troubleshooting, analyzing, and solving complex business process problems
Experience working in a commercial and federal business

This position is a remote office position that requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday.
This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
