Job Description:
Safran Passenger Innovations is looking for a talented Staff Product Integration Engineer based in the UK to join the team. The Staff Product Integration Engineer is a member of the Product Integration Team within the Customer & Program Management Department. This individual will perform tasks associated with the configuration and integration of Safran Passenger Innovations' products onto Aircraft Seating, Aircraft Monuments and Aircraft Platforms. They will be a member of the technical team responsible for accomplishing tasks associated with Product Integration for Airline Programs. This position will perform a supporting role to the global team, with the delivery and performance of SPI Products and Services as well as the customer relationship.Tasks will include the support of the configuration definition process to the global team, offering knowledge of aircraft platforms, seat and monument integrations and the overall aircraft definition process. As a Staff Product Integration Engineer, personnel and technical leadership attributes are demonstrated on a consistent basis. Ideally based around or close to Brighton or Gatwick, you will be working closely with one other team member within the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Independently represent the company at Technical Meetings with Seat and Monument Vendors and/or Integrators
- Provide seat integration designs and drawings as well as other electrical and/or mechanical drawings for the installation of company equipment onto Aircraft Platforms
- Produce Engineering Designs consistent with company standards for our products and the integration into Aircraft Platforms
- Ensure integration requirements are established for cable and equipment integration
- Perform complex installation designs independently
- Interface/Coordinate with third party suppliers to support the integration definition
- Aircraft certification compliance data preparation
- Support system integrations, testing or troubleshooting as required
- Ensure design requirements are retrieved and implemented properly
- Sales Support as required for technical integration aspects
- Utilize knowledge gained to improve efficiency in supporting customer program delivery
- Lead the product integration staff to complete Product Integration assignments
- Perform technical checks of installation drawings and documentation
- Interface with team members and be a contributing, value-added member of the team
- Mentor and empower other team members
- Demonstrate personnel and technical leadership attributes on a consistent basis
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
- 10-15 years of experience working in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results
- 5+ years of experience performing in a technical role on similar engineering tasks
- Experience with IFE or aircraft installation design (Preferred)
- Experience working in a team environment
- Advanced experience in the use of AutoCAD software application (2D)
- Experience in the use of 3D Modeling software application preferred
- Prior project management experience preferred
