Summary:
The Staff Supplier Program Manager is responsible for developing and leading the relationship between Torc and key suppliers. This role ensures successful delivery of components across the Torc supply base, working with partners in external companies to ensure Torc delivers on its goals. This role requires frequent engagement with stakeholders in various departments to align on the work and resolve or drive resolution of issues and risks. The role requires a high degree of skilled stakeholder engagement across all disciplines and levels of the organization, including frequent communication with leaders up to and including the C-suite. This role requires high judgement, capable of making independent decisions with little direction. This person should be a self-starter, curious, creative, solution-oriented, unafraid of ambiguity and able to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization to solve problems and drive clarity, learn and adapt from failure, and be motivated to tackle new topics and challenges.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and lead mechanisms that drive alignment and coordination between Torc and suppliers.
- Lead, guide, and hold suppliers accountable, leveraging OKRs and integration points aligned between the two organizations.
- Serve as a central driver of the relationship between Torc and suppliers, developing appropriate incentives to meeting business goals and program targets.
- Leads cross-functional teams to scope complex initiatives, across engineering, regulatory, operations, and safety.
- Define goals and objectives that drive cross-functional teams to deliver on complex, highly-coupled initiatives; drive the organization to successfully achieve program objectives and measures of success.
- Clearly articulate status of program assignments through frequent updates, dashboards, and metrics.
- Identify, map, track, and drive dependencies and risks to resolution; identify and drive process improvements for process issues impacting the program(s).
- Analyzes product milestones and ensures cross-functional work is planned and if approved, executed in-order-to meet objectives.
- Identifies dependencies and drives dependency management between Technology and other Torc departments to enable successful completion of program objectives to deliver against the product roadmap.
- Ensures clear understanding of dependencies between and across organizations at Torc; identifies and mitigates risks, issues, and opportunities toward program success.
- Identifies and supports development of standards and processes to enable successful completion of programs.
- Monitors progress of program assignments against program objectives, communicating issues, risks, and mitigation plans with key stakeholders
- Defines, reports on key performance metrics to communicate status, issues including creation of dashboards.
- Engages all appropriate stakeholders to ensure all departments are focused on the highest priority business needs; collaborates across program management, technical program management, and product management teams
- Independent preparation and post-processing of meetings and workshops including organization, moderation, decision tracking, documentation of outcomes, as well as follow-up on actions.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through BS+ 10+ years of experience, MS+ 7+ years of experience, or PHD+ 5+ years of experience
- Requires specialized skillset; conducts highly complex work, unsupervised, and with extensive latitude for independent judgment
- Sets the bar as a subject matter expert, and mentors/guides junior team members
- Experience in supplier program management
