Would you like to join one of the largest providers of communications and IT solutions across the UK as a Storage and Backup Engineer? You will be responsible for delivering proactive Managed Services in line with the contractual obligations outlined in the Daisy Specific Conditions (SCs) e.g. performance measures, compliance reporting, service protection, capacity and lifecycle management for Private and Public Cloud infrastructure ensuring that all services are running optimally and securely for our customers.

Job Description
About the role...
- Proactively monitor multiple IT estates
- Maintain solutions using continuous deployments
- Work closely with customers and become a trusted advisor
- Deliver continuous improvements for customers in hybrid, public cloud & IT environments
- Become an extension of the customers IT team and deliver high levels of expertise
- Work across operations boundaries and onboard PS solutions
- Deliver specialist skills to the Cloud Ops team and be a trusted advisor and problem owner.
- Implement DR and backup strategies and solutions
- Support analysts on escalated Incidents – owning problems
- Provide technical input in meetings when required.
Qualifications
What do we need from you?
- Proven experience with supplier management, internal negotiation and working within an ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) environment and liaising with 3rd party vendors as a collaborative design team, evaluation, onboarding, and support escalations.
- Experience in Netapp Storage
- Experience in EMC\HP storage
- Experience in fibre switches
- Experience in Veeam backup solution
- Experience in Vmware\Hyper-V
- Experience in an Internet Service Provider or Managed Service business
- Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to extract, translate and communicate meaningful information at all levels of executives, management and peers.
- Strong technical documentation skills, presentations, and architectural diagrams
- Strongly focused on customer business needs & knowledge of contractual obligations
- Strong project management skills, ability to multitask on complex and large projects.
