About the Work:
The Manager of Strategic Finance will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of Honor. This role involves a blend of financial planning, analysis, and strategic thinking to support decision-making processes and drive long-term financial health and growth.
By leveraging data, analyzing financial performance, and applying creative thinking, you will help position our business favorably to external stakeholders, inform our internal strategic priorities, and play a key role in preparing Honor for successful future financings. This will involve close collaboration with teams across the business.

Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Providing insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis
- Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives: Support the scoping and execution of high-impact projects such as acquisitions, new market launches, and transformational initiatives. Delve into Honor’s strategy and business operations to uncover new growth opportunities.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, conduct data-driven analyses, manage due diligence processes, and create compelling investor presentations and equity stories for M&A and financing activities.
- Business Case Development and Evaluation: Develop comprehensive business cases and conduct post-mortem evaluations to assess the success and areas for improvement of major initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify process gaps and proactively drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performance Metrics and Analysis: Foster a shared understanding of business performance drivers and key operational metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Data Integration and Analysis: Synthesize multiple data sources to identify interdependencies and generate actionable insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, legal, engineering, finance, and marketing teams to implement operational requirements for transaction and financing initiatives.
- Scenario Analysis: Perform ad hoc ‘what-if’ scenario analyses to support variable decision-making processes.
- Cost-Benefit Valuation and Reporting: Independently evaluate the costs and benefits of major initiatives and produce regular reports to compare realized outcomes against projections.
To succeed in the role, you’ll need:
- Professional Experience: Over 3 years of experience in a senior strategic finance role at a high-growth tech company, with extensive hands-on exposure to financial modeling and strategic decision-making analysis.
- Industry Expertise: Prior experience supporting startup / high growth healthcare companies is a plus, particularly in health-tech.
- Financial Modeling and Strategic Insights: Proven ability to build complex financial models and extract strategic insights to drive real-time business decisions. Proficiency in skillfully conveying findings through data visualizations.
- Executive Communication: Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, including the ability to develop, scope, and present business cases to senior leadership.
- Attention to Detail: Extreme attention to detail and a strong aptitude for planning and managing deadlines.
- Project Leadership: Ability to independently execute and lead projects with minimal guidance.
- Adaptability: Comfortable performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing both internal and external stakeholders, and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to participate in C-level presentations and collaborate with all levels of management across multiple organizations globally.
- Capital Markets Knowledge: Familiarity with capital markets and their impact on strategic financial decisions.
Our range reflects the hiring range for this position. We use national average to determine pay as we are a remote first company. Individual pay is based on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, experience, education, and training.
Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program. Honor offers equity and 401K with up to a 4% match. We provide medical, dental and vision coverage including zero cost plans for employees. Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance are fully employer paid with a voluntary additional Life Insurance option. We offer a generous time off program, mental health benefits, wellness program, and discount program.

Honor is remote friendly! We're hiring across the U.S., with an entirely virtual interview and onboarding process. Most of our positions are remote/work from home and do not require permanent relocation. As conditions allow, we have office space for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco Bay Area, CA, Austin, TX, and Omaha, NE hubs.
