Role Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and proactive Strategic Sourcing Partner, Commercial to drive top-of-funnel talent strategy across critical commercial functions, including Sales, Customer Support, Marketing, and Business Development.
This role is focused on talent market mapping, proactive pipelining, and engagement of passive candidates. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in commercial talent markets, thrives in ambiguity, and excels at identifying and attracting top talent ahead of demand. You will partner closely with recruiters, TA leaders and hiring managers to shape talent strategies and ensure strong, diverse pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
This is a pipeline-first role focused on proactive sourcing, early-stage candidate screening, and talent market strategy, not full-cycle recruiting.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Mapping & Market Intelligence
Conduct in-depth talent market research to identify key talent pools, competitors, and emerging trends
Provide insights on talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and hiring risks to inform workforce planning Advanced Sourcing Strategy
Design and execute innovative, multi-channel sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber, diverse talent
Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, AI-enabled sourcing platforms, and market mapping techniques Proactive Talent Pipelining
Build and maintain robust pipelines of passive candidates aligned to critical and future hiring needs
Engage candidates early and nurture long-term relationships to ensure ready-now talent pools Candidate Engagement & Experience
Deliver personalized, high-touch outreach that reflects Fortive’s employer brand
Build credible relationships with top talent to position Fortive as an employer of choice Partnership with Talent Acquisition & Business Leaders
Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition Partners and hiring managers to align on profiles, skills, and market strategy
Participate in intake sessions and ongoing calibration to refine search strategies Data-Driven Sourcing Excellence
Track and analyze sourcing metrics (pipeline health, conversion rates, diversity mix) to optimize effectiveness
Continuously refine sourcing strategies based on performance insights Employer Brand Amplification
Activate employer branding strategies through sourcing channels, social platforms, and talent communities
Serve as a market-facing ambassador for Fortive Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Talent Acquisition, Sourcing, or related HR discipline
4+ years' experience in strategic sourcing for commercial roles (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Business Development)
Proven track record of building pipelines for hard-to-fill and niche roles
Deep expertise in sourcing tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, AI-enabled search technologies, and talent mapping techniques
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market data into actionable insights
Excellent communication and candidate engagement skills across diverse geographies and markets
