Overview: As a Tax Technology Intern, you will play a vital role in assisting our tax department in leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance accuracy, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tax technology systems while working alongside experienced professionals in the field. You will contribute to various projects aimed at optimizing tax processes through the implementation and utilization of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Tax Technology Implementation: Collaborate with the tax team to implement tax technology solutions such as tax software, automation tools, and data analytics platforms.
  • Tax Compliance and Regulatory Research: Stay updated on tax regulations, laws, and compliance requirements relevant to our software solutions. Assist in conducting research to ensure our products remain compliant with changing tax laws and regulations.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of our tax technology solutions. Assist in conducting tests, identifying bugs, and implementing fixes to optimize software functionality.
  • Client Support and Training: Provide tax technical support to clients using our tax technology products. Assist in resolving issues, answering inquiries, and troubleshooting software-related problems related to tax. Contribute to the development of user guides, manuals, and training materials for clients.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as finance, IT, and legal to ensure alignment of tax technology initiatives with overall business objectives. Participate in cross-functional projects to support organizational goals.

Duration and Benefits:

  • This is a 6-month internship position, full-time June- August (Summer Break) and part-time until November 15th. Must be avaliable during the full time frame.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in tax technology and desire to learn about tax regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe.
  • Familiarity with tax software and technology platforms is a plus (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Vertex, Thomson Reuters, CCH).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
