Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Technical Product Manager, Partnerships to own the vision, strategy, and execution of partnership integrations and engagement as part of our growing Producer Experience team. This role will work closely with their engineering, QA, and data partners on the cross-functional software product team, as well as Home Services, Marketing and Communications, Sales, AgencyOps, and other internal stakeholders. This role leads the evolution of our producer partnerships in a way that allows us to achieve our vision, faster. The Technical Product Manager, Partnerships responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, proactively identifying and solving the highest priority problems to catalyze achieving our vision, collaborating with software and internal stakeholders, contributing to team culture, and working closely with engineers to maintain valuable, scalable, and secure APIs for our most trusted distribution partnerships.

What you’d be doing:

  • Be a visible and passionate champion for distribution partner relationships where these experiences take place largely outside of our producer flagship product, SageSure Agent Portal.
  • Establishing the vision and strategy of a partnership in conjunction with our business partners, proactively anticipating scaling across a number of producers and agencies, as well as the number and diversity of insurance products.
  • Develop a scalable strategy for self-service integrations with SageSure’s products and APIs.
  • Embodying and continuously seeking to contribute to product best practices, focusing on exceptional discovery and delivery practices.
  • Leverages data in decision-making, from prioritizing what to build to tracking impact on business outcomes.
  • Engages distribution partners to develop a compelling vision and strategy for integrating events and activities with agency management systems (AMS), eg. direct APIs, IVANS, etc.
  • Inspires team around a shared vision.
  • Responsible for working cross-functionally with multiple departments and promoting cross-functional collaboration within their team to help build trust and relationships across the company.
  • Navigates ambiguity with structure and transparency, and brings in team partners at the right time.
  • Builds trust with the team that they’re always working on the highest priority feature.
  • Communicates clear requirements that are well-researched and right-size scoped.
  • Leads bringing features to market and collaborates with marketing and communications teams.
  • Empathizes with end users and is able to advocate for experiences that meet them where they are.
  • Co-owns quality with the cross-functional team end to end, including testing pre-code, and through deployment and release.
  • Proactively interacts with team members, partners, peers, and employees in person—in offsites & office visits—to help elevate in-person engagement.
  • Champions culture as a critical part of working together most effectively to achieve our 2030 vision.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant job experience in technical product management.
  • Ability to think critically and synthesize information from many sources; strong analytic aptitude required.
  • Must be able to address complex business problems iteratively and develop and implement solutions to meet changing market opportunities.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative fashion or independently.
  • Ability to operate at 30k feet and dive deep on acceptance criteria depending on what’s needed.
  • Strong written communication and oral communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Must be able to communicate on a business, design, and technical level.

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Insurance, financial, payments or other relevant industry experience.
