Copper River Technologies, LLC is looking for a Technical Proposal Writer responsible for creating, developing, and editing high-quality proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), Requests for Quotations (RFQ’s), and Requests for Information (RFI’s) from potential clients. This role requires a deep understanding of technical concepts, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. This role will also be responsible for managing the implementation and maintenance of a Past Performance Library, conducting interviews with Project Managers (PMs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and will serve as the primary user of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for tracking and pipeline purposes.
Primary to a candidate's success in this role will be the ability to work effectively across functional and organizational business units including Operating Company Presidents and Executives, and all Corporate Shared Services Departments to ensure that proposals meet client requirements and align with company objectives. This is a remote position reporting directly to the Operating Company President.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Technical Writing and Content Development
- Provide original writing, editing, and formatting services to produce high-quality proposal content.
- Interview SMEs to extract technical information and translate it into clear, persuasive proposal content.
- Conduct thorough Quality Assurance (QA) reviews to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with proposal requirements.
- Organize and structure content to meet the specific needs of each proposal, including solution development and narrative.
- Identify and incorporate best practices in technical writing and proposal development.
- Past Performance Library Management
- Implement and maintain the company’s Past Performance Library, ensuring all records are up-to-date and reflect the latest project achievements.
- Conduct annual reviews and updates of the Past Performance Library by interviewing PMs and SMEs to gather the most recent project details.
- Organize and catalog past performance data to streamline access and retrieval during proposal development.
- CRM Management
- Serve as the primary user of the CRM system for tracking opportunities, managing the proposal pipeline, and maintaining accurate records.
- Use CRM data to inform proposal strategies and monitor the progress of ongoing proposals.
- Generate reports and provide insights based on CRM data to support business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, English, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical proposal management or a similar role.
- Strong technical writing and editing skills.
- Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience in government contracting and RFP processes.
- ANC/Tribal experience and/or 8(a) experience preferred.
- Certification in Proposal Management (e.g., APMP Certification).
