Become a member of the Revenue team at Extreme Networks! We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Revenue Manager who is excited to join a high growth, Company. The ideal candidate must possess strong critical thinking and communication skills. This person will partner closely with our cross-functional teams to structure and negotiate contractual terms, perform revenue close accounting activities, as well as work with key stakeholders, lead projects, develop new processes and improve on the month-end close process. The position requires a hands-on person who is flexible, solutions-oriented and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in cross-functional discussions, review draft contracts, and provide recommendations for recognition in accordance with relevant accounting literature and company’s revenue recognition policy.
  • Oversee monthly closing activities including, but not limited to, reviewing non-routine revenue transactions, performing accounting assessments, preparing accurate journal entries, and documenting revenue conclusions
  • Analyze ship and debit (Back-end) rebates for accuracy and completeness and with the ability to communicate results to executive leadership.
  • Manage the calculation and review of Channel Incentive reserves
  • Responsible for quarterly reporting including financial statement disclosures
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards by developing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Research, resolve, and operationalize complex and non-routine revenue accounting transactions, including documentation of technical accounting memos
  • Create accounting policy for new product introductions in partnership with the Product and IT organizations
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls
  • Assist with external audits and special projects as needed
  • Monitor revenue inbox to respond timely and appropriately to business requests
  • Motivate, lead, coach and manage all aspects of team members’ performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/
  • 7+ years of combined public or industry experience with 5+ years of ASC 606 Revenue experience
  • CPA or equivalent a plus
  • Oracle, and RevPro experience a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experienced in writing complex technical revenue accounting position papers
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to details
