Your Role & Mission - We are looking for a tenacious Supplier Engagement Manager with a deep understanding of supply chains, ideally based in Berlin or Munich. You will be responsible for developing strong relationships with our clients' suppliers, consulting with them to collect their data as part of high-impact carbon reduction strategies. You will be responsible for establishing the technical processes and workflows and will be a key player in building a supplier-engagement-centric team at Carbmee.

Your tasks

  • Supplier Relationship Management - Directly engage with suppliers and independently manage supplier relationships from the onboarding stage until the data integration (collection of primary data) phase is completed

  • Supplier Engagement - Develop and implement engagement strategies to build and maintain a positive collaboration with our customer’s suppliers and partners all around the world

  • Data Analysis - Monitor and analyze supplier data performance, addressing any issues promptly and aligning supplier activities with overall business goals

  • Continuous Improvement - Continuously evaluate and optimize supplier engagement and proactively contribute to the development of best practices in supplier management

  • Compliance and Expertise - Keep yourself up to date and stay informed about industry trends, compliance policies and regulatory changes affecting suppliers

  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams and support our Climate Experts and Solution Engineers with data mapping and integration

Your profile

  • University degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field

  • Deep understanding of supply chain processes and proven experience in supplier or customer relationship management, supplier engagement, supply chain process management or a similar role

  • Solid professional experience working with Python, Microsoft Excel, BI Analytics and script-writing tools

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and detailed technical specifications and workflows

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills paired with a collaborative, relationship-building mindset with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Fluent English skills are required, German language knowledge is a strong plus! Any additional language knowledge is a great advantage

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and gain actionable insights over supplier performance data and metrics

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

  • Familiarity with and interest in learning more about industry regulations, relevant legal and regulatory requirements and best practices for suppliers

  • A supportive team player, with a proactive approach and a self-driven work attitude, capable of working in the rapidly changing start-up environment
