Technical Writer

Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. The Security Enhanced Information Sharing (SEIS) mission area is seeking an enthusiastic and detailed-oriented Technical Writer to help drive the development of a High-Performance Computing (HPC) solution.

In this role, the Technical Writer will play a significant role in creating an array of technical documents to support the product lifecycle. As part of our team, you will be responsible for leading all technical documentation and editorial standards.

You Will Be Expected to:

• Update or edit existing technical documents including, High Level Design Documents (HLDD), Low Level Design Documents (LLDD), manuals, training materials, and deployment guides.
• Work with the engineering team to draft and deliver new design documents, operations guides, manuals, or system specifications.
• Conduct research and ensure the use of proper IT infrastructure terminology.
• Lead efforts to refine standards regarding order, conciseness, style, and terminology across the product.
• Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other available sources.
• Create and manipulate charts, diagrams, etc. to be included in documentation.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical teams to understand the needs, challenges, and interests of the target audience; gather insights and ensure accuracy in content creation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• US Citizen
• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience writing, reviewing, and editing technical documentation (additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience supporting and communicating with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and trends.
• Proven experience as a content writer in the cybersecurity industry.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with little oversight and supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of High-Performance Computing
• Experience writing for Linux Systems
• Experience working on an Agile development team

**This role has an internal job title of Technical Writer III**. Salary Range: $83K-$100K and potential to qualify for bonuses. The anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
