What You’ll do on a Typical Day:

  • Manage and maintain hardware assets in the global asset management tool.
  • Meet with clients, determining their needs and requirements, providing strategic advice, and managing their assets accordingly.
  • Support global teams use of asset management tool.
  • Conduct reviews to ensure global asset accuracy and compliance.
  • Asset compliance and governance: Serve as central governance manager for enterprise IT Asset Management policy, process, and work.
  • Manage and configure asset Discovery tool.
  • Assist Asset Management team with issues related to hardware asset records.
  • Monitor and support on service requests and incidents related to discovery, hardware asset lifecycle, receiving, deploying and disposal of assets, or those assigned to the Asset Management team.
  • Understand and be able to explain hardware asset lifecycle, familiarity with procurement, receiving, deploying, and disposal concepts and methodologies.
  • Establish, document and maintain discovery and asset lifecycle policies, processes and procedures and communicate the process mission, goals and objectives to all stakeholders.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on the operational effectiveness of the discovery process to senior management.
  • Develop dashboards and KPI’s in FreshService to help measure process effectiveness and data quality.
  • Manage key relationships with Security, Network Engineering, Infrastructure Teams, FreshService Platform Team, IT Service Desk and Depot Managers and Compliance and Audit.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to maintain service levels and resolve issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation for common issues and resolutions to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Manage the program’s performance, create continuous feedback loops and track issues to ensure both quality and efficiency are being delivered.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate a team of Asset Management Analysts.
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities within the team and delegate work in accordance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation resource for the Asset Management team.
  • Seek out information to identify gaps and drive continuous performance improvement from your team as a whole as well as the SNAP and Procurement teams.
  • Foster cross-team collaboration and continuously improve ways of working with cross functional teams and partners.

What We’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience with ServiceNow, FreshService or a similar Asset Management tool.
  • 2+ years’ experience implementing, upgrading and maintaining Discovery/ITAM/CMDB modules and processes.
  • 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, developing, and motivating teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-related software.
  • Experience managing teams remotely is required.
  • Experience writing workflows, policies, processes, and procedure documents.
  • Effective time manager who has the ability to coach others to work more effectively.
  • Strong intrinsic commitment to giving and receiving feedback to/from peers, cross-functional team members, and your direct manager.
  • Strategically minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
  • Ability to follow through on deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Solid problem-solving skills; able to quickly digest any issue/problem encountered and recommend an appropriate solution.
