Job DescriptionTest Engineer ( Automation)

Simpplr is looking for Test Engineer (Automation) with a drive and eagerness to contribute to the performance, reliability and ensure quality of our product . Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation, maintenance and improvement of automation test scripts and automation framework
  • Understand, apply and optimize appropriate test mechanisms (functional, regression.smoke.) and tools to improve the verification efficiency through automation
  • Continuously improve the automation framework, tools, and processes.
  • Prioritize and manage workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines
  • Providing feedback on release readiness
  • Participation in requirement analysis and walkthrough

Skills Required

  • 3-5 years of industrial experience in software testing
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation testing
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
  • Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in test automation using Cypress or Playwright
  • Strong proficiency in writing TypeScript (or JavaScript and open to learn TypeScript).
  • Experience with Cucumber BDD and writing Gherkin scenarios.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of test frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG is a plus.
  • Should be capable of manually testing the application and writing manual test cases in BDD (Gherkin) format.
  • Experience using Jenkins/Github workflow Pipeline for CI/CD.
  • Good knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or JMeter.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Hands-on experience of JIRA & Zephyr.
