Overview

The Training Design Intern is a valuable resource for the GuidePoint Security University (GPSU) Team. As a Training Design Intern, you will have the chance to gain hands-on experience in developing and delivering high-quality training materials. This internship is designed for individuals who are passionate about instructional design, adult learning, and creating engaging educational content. You will work closely with our GPSU team to assist in the design, development, and evaluation of training programs that support our employees' growth and success.

This is a part-time, remote paid internship with the GPSU program of GuidePoint Security. For more information on our GPSU program, please visit our website.

  • Content Development: Assist in creating training materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training resources, videos, and job aids. This may include storytelling and branching scenarios to create more engaging content.
  • Instructional Design: Collaborate with the GPSU team to analyze training needs, design curriculum, and ensure that content aligns with learning objectives.
  • Multimedia Production: Support the development of multimedia elements, including graphics, animations, and videos, to enhance training content.
  • Learning Management System (LMS): Assist in uploading and managing training content in the LMS, ensuring accessibility and ease of use for employees.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Participate in the evaluation of training programs, collect feedback from participants, and make necessary improvements based on feedback and data analysis.
  • Project Coordination: Work on multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines.

Are you a good fit for the role?

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using instructional design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia, etc.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience with a corporate LMS, such as Docebo, is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Creativity and an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Microsoft Office skills appropriate to course development.

Internship Details and Expectations:

This is a part-time, remote paid internship ($20hr) that is offered as part of a GPSU cohort running from Jan 6 - Mar 28, 2025. Interns are expected to:

  • Work 20-29 hours between 11am-4pm EST Monday through Friday
  • Have a personal computing device and access to high-speed internet during working hours
  • Be located in the United States throughout the course of the internship
