Job Description

As a member of the Vendor Management Office (VMO), the VMC will be responsible for collating, analysing and reporting on vendor financial performance. They will support other vendor related activities, including but not limited to: SLA penalty administration and RFP analysis and they will administrate the resource management process for VMO, leading on initiatives to improve associated workflows. They will work directly with third-party vendors, as well as cross-functionally within Cision’s Global Business Services unit and other internal stakeholder groups to develop, refine and improve financial reporting output to enable more effective decision making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with vendors and VMO Team to fulfil financial reporting requirements from vendor data in line with business need.
  • Provides quality control of third-party financial data, including vendor invoices to ensure required cadence of delivery, accuracy of data and to identify issues.
  • Collaborates closely with the data warehouse team to ensure correct and timely financial data inputs and development/delivery of critical financial metrics.
  • Supports with analysis of financial data to help identify trends, issues and opportunities.
  • Administrates components of the Resource Change Request process, including first line checking of Resource Change Request documentation.
  • Supports with RFQ/RFP administration and analysis.
  • Join and contribute to cross-functional initiatives to improve quality and delivery of data.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Able to develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of using IT systems and databases.
  • Logical and rigorous approach to management of data.
  • Strong statistical competence and a comprehensive understanding of the appropriate tools/methods for root cause analysis.
  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Knowledge of outsource market and global suppliers.
  • Experience working in an operational role and with 3rd party Vendor/Supplier management.
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or project management certification.
