Job Description

VFX Artist | SeedworldWe are seeking an experienced VFX Artist to work on one of the biggest Metaverse projects ever Seedworld on Unreal 5.3.
As a VFX artist you will deploy your excellent understanding of Unreal (Niagara & Blueprint) and usual artist softwares (Photoshop, Substance, 3D modeling package, etc) to create and optimize particle systems, shaders and other VFX that match with the Seedworld unique style.
Responsibilities:- Create visual effects art assets that balance performance, efficiency, and artistry to achieve optimal run time visual quality and game performance;- Research, conceptualize and derive quality visual effects from references to apply on various aspects of the game;- Collaborate with the art director, game designers, and developers to ensure that VFX meets the game requirements while adhering to artistic standards;- Share knowledge and best practices with teammates;- Actively participate in technical and artistic discussions and problem solving;- Ability to summarize his work and documentation for internal & external communication.
Required Qualifications:- 4+ years of experience in similar roles with at least one AAA game shipped on PC or console;- Prior experience creating 2D and 3D stylized visual effects;- Experience working with Unreal game engine and Niagara;- Knowledge of software like Maya/Blender/Houdini, Photoshop/Substance, Embergen, etc.
Desired Qualifications: - Good visual and technical understanding of FX shader;- Good artistic eye to complement the technical knowledge and ease collaboration with the Art Director;- Strong knowledge of all the 3D requirements before shader (UV, Texture) and full game pipelines;- Experience with developing shaders/materials;- Fast, organized, collaborative and able to handle feedback;- Strong organizational, communication skills and a fluent level in English along with understanding production values, deadlines and priorities.
Bonus Skills:- Knowledge of scripting (Python, HLSL, Blueprint) would be useful.
