The Vice President, Content Practice Professional Services will lead the professional services technical team responsible for all content technologies including content, architecture, eco systems, and verticals practices.
Reporting to Senior Vice President of Professional Services and serving as an integral member of the senior leadership team, this Vice President will be responsible for creating the methodology of implementation, staffing and fulfilling project demands, defining best practices for implementation, coordinating staffing from Onshore, Centers of Excellence and 3rd parties to ensure staffing level are available to meet demand. In addition, the leader will be goaled with driving additional implementation efficiency into the business by automation, off-shore, and standard deliverables.
The Vice President, Content Practice Professional Services will be a hands-on senior leader who can provide counsel to the Senior Vice President of Professional Services, manage multiple projects and customers, lead technical consultants, develop compelling thought leadership and implement new methods of making OpenText world class in Professional Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the delivery of technical solutions for professional services projects
  • Provide strategic vision and implementation of that vision for how OpenText delivers solutions in the Content practices.
  • Ensure an infinite resources model to include onshore, offshore, and 3rd party resources.
  • Deliver best in class cost effective solutions.
  • Manage customer escalations from a practice perspective.
  • Forecast and take responsibility for P&L of the practice.
  • Manage external consultants’ quality and deliverables.
  • Ensure bid review and cost estimates for projects.

DESIRED OUTCOMES

  • Ownership of Content practice from a technical perspective including implementation, delivery and bid/scoping process, drive revenue conversion and margin in the practice, create IP from the practice.
  • Implement a global thought leadership on improving practices and functions of delivery functions.
  • Drive an expanded level of communication with OpenText customers and consultants providing career paths and team structure.
  • Improve awareness of trouble programs and proactively manage the risk from the practice.
  • This leader is a technical leader with the leadership, gravitas, and presence to work with customer escalated contacts Vice President – C level communication.
  • Being able to work both the EMEA time zones and US time zones.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with and passion for delivering complex software professional services
  • Technical knowledge of digital transformation professional services
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, implement, and deliver software solutions to fortune 500 companies
  • Managing complex requirements and customers
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills with distributed teams:
  • Organizing resources from both technical resources from technical practices inside of OpenText and from 3rd parties
  • Evaluate 3rd parties implementing and success.
  • Experience managing complex project and teams:
  • 10+ years of managing global and remote teams for professional services on enterprise software solutions.
  • Ability to identify, retain and grow talent required for successful website development & maintenance.
