As the Area Operations Manager, you will ensure customers receive the highest customer experience when transitioning to low-carbon heating. You’ll manage all installation activities to ensure they are completed on time and to a high standard. You will proactively work with your direct indirect teams to forward plan, identifying emerging themes, challenges and opportunities across your area to become the leading heat pump installer.
You will have direct management of up to 20 field-based employees. You will work with your direct field team cross-functional teams (sales, IS, aftercare etc) to prioritise the biggest opportunities to improve install throughput and quality, and how to roll out, test and track updates to teams in the field.

What you'll do

  • Lead a field team to carry out installations of heat pumps within domestic homes;
  • Ensure all field teams provide the best possible customer service to customers by managing the individual performance of field teams;
  • Find solutions to potential challenges when installing heat pumps to increase customer adoption;
  • Ensure all installations are performed to the highest standards and meet all compliance criteria;
  • Lead the teams to ensure health and safety is at the forefront of day-to-day tasks;
  • Identify and plan for maximum utilisation of field teams to increase productivity;
  • Review and manage cost control of all installation activities;
  • Engage the field team to understand and define key issues for improvement/opportunities;
  • Promote the teams to work together to find solutions to daily challenges and promote new ways of working
  • Identify and unblock recurring challenges and help speed up the installation process by working with Sales, IS, Scheduling and Logistics teams;
  • Build resource requirements to meet operating targets in your area, alongside the recruitment team;
  • Support cross-manager information sharing and collaboration
