Remote U.S. or Canadian-based Role

Overview

The associate project manager will drive execution of interface and upgrade projects, ensuring that commitments are delivered on time, within scope, to budget, and to the required quality standards. This associate will proactively work with the project team and stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered in a manner that achieve business/contractual obligations and solidify client/key stakeholder satisfaction and needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver upgrade and interface projects on schedule and within budget as specified by project plans.
  • Ensure the use of appropriate processes and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project risks through the prioritization, planning, up to delivery.
  • Define a communication plan suitable to the project size and importance.
  • Ensure that the project scope is clearly defined and documented at the onset of the project.
  • Manage scope changes and change requests escalating internally and externally as necessary impacts on costs, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Anticipate and communicate the impact of project decisions and actions on client commitments / expectations.
  • Create and monitor risk logs and actively mitigates all risks.
  • Demonstrate project control through disciplined measurement, assessment, planning, and reporting.
  • Establish trusted relationships with the project team, key influencers/stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Consistently complete project status and reporting, both written and via meetings, as appropriate
  • Builds relationships across organizational functions (internal and external, as required by the project) at various levels including but not limited to decision makers.
  • Motivate the team to drive toward success and find ways to overcome difficulties.
  • Share and encourage others to share and use the lessons learned from project.
  • Identify, suggest, and implement improvements to processes.

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of business/technical experience
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years client-facing project management experience within the healthcare industry
  • Knowledgeable re. EHR and hospital information systems.
  • Solid organization and time management skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Great communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse personality types.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Build and maintain strong and trusting relationships with team and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
  • Good negotiation skills with the ability to facilitate discussion, identify alternative approaches, and resolve conflicts
  • Able to identify and remove impediments, as well as prevent distractions for the team
  • Clarity and MS Office Suite skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)

Travel Requirements:

  • 10 - 15% travel
  • May require other travel for business needs

Working Arrangements:

  • Remote U.S. or Canadian-based role. May require after-hours, on-call support.
  • On-call and after hours work during peak times including end of month/quarter/year; during this time PTO is limited to meet business needs
