Job Description

What You’ll Do

As a Business Development Manager with Burwood, you are the fuel to help us build Burwood’s new customer base through strategic outreach, networking and events. We welcome people who are ambitious, self-motivated and eager to build new relationships with our partners, customers and internal teams. Other duties will include market research, developing business strategies and pitches, managing a variety of lead gen programs, and identifying new business opportunities. The successful applicant will be resourceful, organized and motivated to increase sales, enhance the company's reputation, and look for new and creative ways to market our services and offerings. A background in sales, IT recruiting, or marketing is strongly desirable.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop a sales pipeline in assigned territory
  • Collaborate with sales executives to ensure our sales goals and targets are met
  • Continuously seek ways to add value to customers IT challenges
  • Monitor and attend meetings with potential customers and manage the follow-up with aligning account executives
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with OEM partners by regular cadences and obtaining sales certifications
  • Maintain a clean CRM for accurate reporting
  • Attend trainings, events and conferences as needed

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • Must have 1-3 years of relevant inside sales experience in the information technology space
  • Broad knowledge within the following areas is highly preferred:
  1. Cloud Services
  2. IT Infrastructure
  3. Cybersecurity Advisory
  4. Managed Services
  • Must have a passion for learning and continued education regarding our go-to-market strategy, our processes and the Information Technology industry
  • You have a proven record of obtaining meetings and generating leads within large commercial organizations OR ability to articulate how you plan to do so
  • Ability to work independently, self-directed and remotely in a cross functional organization
  • You are willing to travel, prioritize and perform work in required time frames
  • You are a social butterfly who takes satisfaction in bringing folks to social events to experience and learn new things
  • You thrive when you must think on your feet
  • You are a team player
