The Opportunity:
You will be responsible for identifying and launching new automotive clients from defined distribution channels. You will secure new client contracts by building a wide, deep network of prospects to help to achieve the annual operating plan through identifying and delivering sustainable growth opportunities.
You will be a results-driven, resilient individual that has an in-depth understanding of the UK automotive retail sector, through a digital lens.
As a result, you will deliver year-on-year operating growth, across Assurant’s product suite, which is complimented by first-class digital solutions.
- Contribute to the delivery of Assurant’s Automotive AOP by winning new automotive partnerships within agreed distribution channels such as AM200 and MT50 used car supermarkets
- Manage the whole sales cycle – this will be lead generation, proposal development, proposal presentation, discussion, contracting and supporting with implementation
- Use Salesforce as the system of choice to record and manage all prospect activity, whether interactions or proposal development requests.
- Lead all new opportunities internally, collaborating with functions such as Underwriting, Product, IT, Operations and Compliance.
- Support the Account Management Team to ensure successful handover and delivery on agreed client goals.
- Implement the win and contact strategies for allocated prospects in each channel.
- Work in collaboration with company colleagues, such as Marketing, to create and build data-led campaigns for specific, targeted prospects.
You Have:
- Experience in UK Automotive, whether retailer led, OEM or third-party supplier
- A comprehensive understanding of the UK automotive market, specifically the trends that are likely to influence the landscape over the coming years
- Experience working in field-based commercial roles with demonstrable territory management and relationship management skills
- A proven ability of winning and delivering cross-sell or new business opportunities.
- A commercially aware person who can design partnerships based on a “win-win” approach
- An understanding of the insurance and Value-Added Proposition sales process, including the appropriate regulation
- Analyse data to translate market intel from internal and external sources into insights that can be used for business development
- Knowledge of automotive product range with an understanding of supporting digital solutions
